WELCOMING AND WORKING WITH DELEGATION OF INSTITUT MINES - TELECOM (FRANCE)

On May 18, 2023, at the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE), a meeting was held to welcome the delegation of Institut Mines - Telecom (IMT, France).

On the side of IMT, there were members including Dr. Eric VIVIEN - Head of the delegation, Head of the External Relations Department of Mines Ales, representing the member schools of the IMT; Prof. Gwenn LE-SAOUT - Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, School of Mines Ales, together with representatives of Mines Saint - Etienne member schools; representative of IMT Nord Europe; representative of IMT Allantique school. On the side of HUCE, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Vice Rector of the university; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thanh Tung - Dean of Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Lam - Vice Dean of Faculty of Building Materials; Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Head of International Cooperation Department and teachers from faculties attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized the close and long-term cooperation between the IMT and HUCE in recent years, namely cooperation on dual degree training programs and student and lecturer exchange programs, etc. On this occasion, the HUCE’s leaders expressed their wish that IMT member schools continue their student exchange programs and dual degree programs for students of each side to understand culture, people, as well as approach new learning methods. The signing of the renewal of the Cooperation Agreements as well as the Dual Degree Training Agreement between the two schools shows the commitment to close and persistent cooperation between the two schools.    

Within the framework of the visit, Prof. Gwenn LE-SAOUT - Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, School of Mines Ales gave a presentation on Hydrating Concrete. The presentation attracted the attention of many students from the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Construction, the Faculty of Building Materials, the High Quality Engineer Training Board.
